Norwegian Wood (This Bird Has Flown)

This track by The Beatles was featured on their 1965 album, Rubber Soul. Norwegian Wood was written by John Lennon and Paul McCartney. A notable aspect of the song is George Harrison's use of the sitar, marking the first time this instrument appeared in a major Western rock recording. Harrison's interest in the sitar began while filming Help! in 1965, and he mastered the lick for the song in 20–30 minutes. Norwegian Wood played a significant role in the evolution of raga and psychedelic rock during the mid-1960s, and it also contributed to the mainstream popularity of Indian classical music and Ravi Shankar in the West. Released December 3,1965 on the Rubber Soul Album at EMI Studios, London.

"Dance Hall Days" is a song by the English new wave band, Wang Chung, 

( Nick Feldman, Jack Hues, Darren Costin). It was originally released as a single in 1982 when the band was called Huang Chung. The Song was re-recorded and released a year later. The album Points on the Curve was released February 1983 in the US. It was recorded in Abbey Roads Studio and released by Geffen.

The Needle and the Damage Done is a song by Canadian-American singer-songwriter, Neil Young. This song was first released on Young’s single, Old Man, on the Reprise label, April 17, 1972, recorded at Royce Hall. The lyrics describe the effects of heroin addiction on musicians.

 Out on the Weekend is a country ballad written by Neil Young that was the opening song of his February 1,1972 album, Harvest, by Reprise Records. Neil Young has stated that this song, as well as Harvest and Heart of Gold, were inspired by his then blossoming love for actress, Carrie Snodgress.

“Cosmic Dancer” was released on the Electric Warrior album in September 24, 1971 by English rock band, T. Rex. The Song was written by Marc Bolan. The album marked a turning point in the band’s sound, moving away from the folk-oriented sound of the previous albums and incorporating a more flamboyant, pop-friendly glam rock style.
